I Heart Faces: Sports and Pets

This week I got really lucky! We had a great day at the beach yesterday learning about Stand-up Paddling and Surfing with Na Kama Kai. This group of volunteers were great with the kids, very knowledgeable in their field, and full of the Aloha spirit. I was very impressed by the planning and attention to safety of the Keiki! Obviously I had to have my camera with me because what kind of mom would I be without chronicling such a great activity for the girls?

My Sports entry is my youngest daughter. I call it the birth of a monster! Why? Because she never wanted to be off the board after her first taste of surfing! LOL!

My Pet entry is this little dog that was playing with the kids on the beach and went surfing, too. He was a sweet little thing!

    both shots are great – i really love the dog on the board – such fun! and the little girl is cute as can be – a surfer in the making – lol! great job!

    Isn't it such a treat as a parent when you introduce your child to an activity they love? And what better one in Hawaii than surfing? Despite living there for 3 years, I never tried… Great color in a very sunny situation!

    Your daughter looks like a natural on that board. Both my girls were afraid of the water at that age! That dog is too funny. Both are great shots!
